I'm a Californian living in the United Kingdom, researching past climates to help understand future climate change.

I'm a NERC Independent Research Fellow/Lecturer in Environemtnal Science at Queen Mary University of London in the School of Geography.

As a paleoceanographer, I use the geochemistry of microfossils from marine sediment to reconstruct past ocean conditions. The oceans play a central role in the climate system, and marine sediment from the ocean provides a rich archive of past climate.
